Our Projects

We are building a global network of young people passionate about protecting endangered languages. Our platform raises awareness, connects youth worldwide, and supports those working to keep their languages alive. Our work is guided by TWO main goals: 1. Empower young people to recognize the value of linguistic diversity and foster a sense of ownership and care for the sustainable future of languages. 2. Encourage active participation, amplifying youth voices in how they can contribute to preserving and revitalizing endangered languages. We achieve these goals by creating opportunities for connection and action. From international gatherings to collaborative art and mapping projects, we provide spaces where youth can learn, share, and lead meaningful change in language preservation.

    International Youth Forum

    The International Youth Endangered Language Preservation Forum brings together participants from different countries whose identities are shaped by endangered languages. Through keynote talks, project showcases, and roundtable discussions, we explore youth-driven solutions for language preservation and inspires leadership in the global movement to protect linguistic heritage.

    Explore stories, insights, and experiences from language communities around the world. Read articles written by linguists, activists, and community members sharing their journey in language preservation and revitalization.

    Read Stories

    Myth Picture Books Project

    This initiative invites young people to reimagine and record traditional myths and cultural stories through beautifully illustrated picture books that feature endangered languages. Each book integrates words, phrases, or expressions from the language, preserving cultural identity and language while making stories engaging for reader of all ages!

    Global Language Map

    The Language Map features over 3,500 endangered languages and showcases projects and comments from leaders and speakers around the world. It serves as a living record and an interactive space to explore the richness of humanity’s linguistic diversity.

Why Youth?: The Bridge Between Past and Future

Languages live through people using them, and die when they are no longer passed on. Youth are the bridge between the past and the future. We are the next generation of speakers and guardians.
